Thank all of you for the Facebook birthday wishes! It was awesome (seriously, not naming any names, but someone even made me cry--in a good way). We didn't really do anything to celebrate except have dinner out (birthday party Saturday--if you're in El Paso and we've met, you're invited :)), and so it was really nice to hear the message dings coming from the phone all day, reminding me that it wasn't just an ordinary Wednesday after all. I did go to Red Lobster for the first time ever...I know I'm kinda old for that sort of benchmark (it was alright). Yep, feeling really old, there's that Willie Nelson song where he sings "this face is all I have, worn and lived in." That's me...serious between the eye lines at 34.
So this morning I woke up at 445, ran, took photos at the San Elizario mission (speaking of old things), & was back before Chris had to leave for work. I've been wanting to shoot the mission since before we even moved here, but only now got around to it. It is so beautiful outside, and I expected it to be the same inside. It was, but not how I thought. It needs a little love (ceiling tiles and plaster are falling). But still beautiful.
One more time: Thank you so much for the Facebook happy birthdays yesterday (um, and those of you who called to sing!). Love, Sara
