We spent Columbus Day weekend in Priddy, where Auden & Matti caught grasshoppers and more grasshoppers (we let them all go before we headed back to El Paso because I wasn't about to travel 8 hours with a dog, three guys, and a jar of fish bait). Making the 16 hour round trip 100% worth it: Matti, for the first time ever, got to have a birthday party with family around. It was awesome. Also awesome: the rainstorms that crashed our (me + Chris) run & lulled us to sleep. Central Texas is a little less crispy.
I took these on the way back (can't remember the town name). Every time I saw this sign I wanted to pull over, but never had until Monday (I don't like to stop for anything...seriously). And, I admit that I take too many sign photos & especially too many liquor store signs. I just can't help it; there's something about them. Neon. Neglect.
Last bit of random (and I hope I don't jinx myself here)- I should get the bar application mailed off tomorrow! Ok, off to finish cleaning the house or something (I've already put in 6.5 hours and there are whole rooms I haven't yet touched...solely a matter of how big the mess is/was & not house size.
