I took advantage of the 60 something degree weather today and went out for my first post-baby run (it was a test- I had no idea if I was ready without trying). I ran (and walked) 2.3 miles, and it just about killed me (lung-wise). Being out of shape + high altitude is serious business. Even though I almost died (not really), it felt really good to be back out after four months and I'm definitely ready, even if I have a long road ahead of me (with a Half in three months as the goal).
(I had Chris take this post-run photo with a fussy-hungry Willa: I went in for a kiss and she tried to eat my face...fair enough).
Now, off to find a race and make-up a schedule...I'm kinda excited :). Love, Sara
p.s. I finally got the Christmas cards and announcements out...except about 20 of them (and I hope to get those out Tuesday). Umm...and for those of you who have received one already, Chris and I both Still forgot our anniversary (our 10th) Again. For shame. s
Sara, you look incredible! Libby is 2 1/2 now and I still struggle with 'broken' lungs. :)
